Keeping going when you really want to stop is a major part of the battle. <br /><br />Some runs are just tougher than others, and it seems to depend on nothing. Maybe whether there are four or five clouds in the sky? I don't know. I have felt great after a 10k and then run a 5k the following week and felt dreadful. It's just the way it is, and the mental toughness of getting through it is part of the training. If I want to quit I usually think of the last time I felt bad and how I kept going and didn't die, and focus on putting one foot in front of the other until the feeling passes.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
